Resort Worker - 7.25 per hour Parking Lot - Direct vehicles to park in parking lot. Must be able to stand for long periods of time in all summer weather conditions (heat, sun, rain). No direct contact with guests. If working the evening shift - may work until at least after midnight. Must have good English - will use 2-way radio- must be able to communicate giving instructions over radio. Good attendance is a MUST.
Retail Sales 7.25 per hour Operates cash register in gift shop, collects money and counts change to guest. Required to pass basic math test. Better than average knowledge of American currency and knowledge of procedures of credit card sales. Must have good customer service skills. Keep area clean, orderly and well stocked. Will help guests to choose items they wish to purchase. May also work at a cart creating and selling temporary tattoos, light-up toys and other items. Good Attendance is a MUST.
Ride Operator - 7.3 per hour Operate controls of ride, assist guests on/off ride. Speak clearly over microphone giving safety instructions. Must be able to talk with guests, answering questions and give directions. Responsible for making sure ride area is kept clean. Able to work in sun, rain, stand for long periods of time. Must pass drug test. Number of hours worked will vary at different times of season. Good attendance is a MUST. During slow periods will have sweeping duties.
Waiter/Waitress - 5.75 per hour Work in a sports-themed fast food restaurant. Must be able to talk with guests and understand what they are ordering. Take guests' food and beverage orders and serve their order to the table. Restaurant menu is mostly sandwiches, appetizers and beverages (the only alcohol that is served is beer). Daily duties will include bussing tables and some other cleaning duties in restaurant. This is a tipped position. Very limited number of positions available (less than 4). Good attendance is a MUST.
Cook - 7.5 per hour Limited number of positions. Cook in sit-down sports themed restaurant. Food cooked-Sandwiches, appetizers, salads, fries. Kitchen is very fast-packed. Must keep area clean. Must be able to work in hot kitchen around fryers and other cooking equipment. Able to understand English-both written and spoken. Good attendance is a MUST.
Lifeguard - 7.2 per hour Certified lifeguard training (fee approx. $34).Written part of testing done on-line prior to arrival. Skills testing completed upon arrival. Must work in all weather conditions stand for long periods of time-rotation of positions every 2 hrs. Must always keep eyes on water. Many times work in area not near fallow employees (guards spaced out to cover all areas of pools). Constant testing done. Good Attendance is a MUST. Required to have water shoes/sandals w/ straps on back –no flip-flop sandals

Cedar Point is located on scenic Lake Erie approximately one hour from Cleveland, OH and Toledo, OH and within easy access of local islands. After Labor Day, the park is typically open Friday night 6pm-midnight then Saturdays noon-midnight, and Sundays noon-8pm. Based on our limited staff, employees typically work
30 hours Fri, Sat and Sun. This schedule allows you to travel during the week and still earn money on the weekends. You should discuss your schedule with your Supervisor in August to understand what will be happening in September.
Available Positions:
Ticket Sales 7.7 per hour
Admissions Host: Sells admission tickets to guests as they enter the park. Responsible for ringing up sales on cash register and counting out correct change as guests enter the park. Honesty and reliability a must. Knowledge of accurate cash handling. Ability to work in groups at a hectic pace. Ability to follow instructions. Must maintain a well-groomed & professional appearance at all times. Flexibility to work various hours, work locations, and positions as business warrants.
Custodian/Janitor 7.7 per hour
Building Attendant: Responsible for cleaning park offices and restaurants. Crews work from 11pm to 7:30am six nights per week. Duties include sweeping and mopping, vacuuming carpets, washing windows, and cleaning and stocking restrooms and offices. Must be able to work alone or as part of a team. Must be able to take direction from supervisors and managers. Must have ability to be pleasant and helpful to customers.

Employee Housing Host: Responsible for cleaning the common living areas of employee housing facilities such as hallways, toilet and shower areas, and lobby areas. Will also include cleaning areas outside of housing buildings. Will include arranging furniture in empty dormitory rooms. Must have the ability to react swiftly and calmly during all situations. Must be able to stoop and bend at the knees to clean. Must be able to work alone or as part of a team.
General Food and Beverage Worker 7.7 per hour
Food Host: Handles guest sales in a prompt, friendly, courteous manner using suggestive selling techniques. Rings up sales on a cash register, handles money, and counts out correct change. May also be responsible for preparation of various food products according to prescribed recipes. Required to maintain a clean and orderly area including the preparation area, guests areas (tables, chairs, serving lines, condiment stands, etc.) and all equipment.
Busser 7.7 per hour
Franchise Food Host: May include bussing, food running, or serving in a franchise food restaurant. May also be responsible for preparation of various food products according to prescribed recipes. Required to maintain a clean and orderly area including the preparation area, guests areas (tables, chairs, serving lines, condiment stands, etc.) and all equipment.
Game Operator 7.7 per hour
Games Host: Actively encourages guests to play skill games and awards prizes to winners in keeping with techniques learned during training. Some locations require the employee to talk through a microphone to entice play. These positions require constant interaction with the public. Responsible for handling
cash transactions and counting out correct change. Must be willing to serve guests in a friendly and courteous manner. Must have self-confidence and a positive attitude.
Park Cleaner 7.7 per hour
Group Utility: Responsible for emptying trash containers, cleaning the park, and performing other Park Services job duties. Extensive walking is required in all weather conditions. Position may be at night or during the day.
Laundry 7.7 per hour
Laundry Host: Responsible for sorting, hanging, and folding a variety of linens and textiles including towels, blankets, bed sheets and uniforms. Also responsible for assisting in the operation of large washers, dryers and other laundry equipment. Must be able to work alone or as part of a team. Must be able to take direction from supervisors and managers.
Lifeguard 7.7 per hour
Lifeguard: Responsible for guarding swimmers and for safe and efficient operations in a Cedar Point aquatic area. This includes enforcing rules, giving information and answering questions, watching the pools and waterslide to make sure that all guests are safe, performing life-saving techniques when needed as described and practiced in lifeguard certification training. A pre-employment drug screen is required upon arrival and lifeguards must work until at least September 3rd.
Restroom Attendant 7.7 per hour
Restroom Host: Responsible for cleaning the restrooms and common areas at Cedar Point. This includes cleaning toilets, sinks, and mirrors, sweeping and mopping floors, and stocking paper products. Restroom Attendants are assigned to clean multiple toilet areas of Cedar Point.
Ride Operator 7.7 per hour
Ride Host: Responsible for safe and efficient operation of one or more of Cedar Point's rides. This includes enforcing rules, lifting
children into seats, buckling seatbelts and safety harnesses, giving information about the ride(s), operating controls and switches, and answering questions. Must pass a mandatory pre-employment drug screen upon arrival to Cedar Point. Must be available at least 12 weeks.
Chambermaid/Housekeeper 7.7 per hour
Room Attendant: Responsible for cleaning and making up guest rooms. This includes making guest beds, cleaning toilet, bathtub, and sink areas, replacing towels, and vacuuming carpeting. Are also responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of hallways and public spaces throughout the hotel. Must be able to work independently.
Laborer 7.7 per hour
Special Events Crew: Responsible for setting up and cleaning after special events. Sets up signs, tables, and chairs. Must be able to work as a team or independently.
